TUBA is a handsome cowl, quickly knit. High ‘apparent value’ makes it a perfect gift. The almost architectural depth of texture comes from a seldom used but easy technique called Float Stitch. The design is by Roxanne Seabright (Rox), founder of Artfibers, the mill that produces the yarn in the pictures.

TUBA, designed by Rox Seabright, is available as a kit.
We show it here in the Artfibers ‘big noodle’ yarn, UDON (named after a Japanese round noodle). UDON is a cushiony soft pure fine merino wool that looks and feels like felt. Spun for us in Italy, it’s hand painted in the US by our model in these pictures, Noelle.
As an introductory offer, we’re making TUBA available in a kit for $16.40. If that sounds interesting please read on after the pattern instructions.

It’s gorgeous! The blue really compliments the model’s brown eyes and hair. Lovely!
Is the Tuba Cowl still available in a kit with UDON yarn?

I saw the colors page, but I’m not clear on how I order the kit for $16.40???
Thanks for your help!
Hi Toby,
The pattern calls for 60 yards of yarn. You can order that amount through the UDON page in the Artfibers website. The kit consists of that amount of yarn plus the pattern, which is posted here for free — that’s all you need. You can always phone our toll free number at 1.888.326.1112 to order or ask questions, or write direct to the sales office (Rox) at artfibersyarn@earthlink.net. Thanks!
