I'm having chemo now, am about half way through and going through quite an emotional 'down' with it all at the moment, though the chemo is going well. My face shape looks so much better in hats with a brim to them and very few knitted (chemo) hat patterns have a brim to speak of. I've just knitted a 'floppy' brim hat which is almost there, just a bit too floppy. This pattern however... looks like just the thing I need. I'm going to start it now. If it looks as good as it does on you, then it'll be such a boon to my confidence out and about - I desparately need to feel 'normal'. A big appreciative thank you.

Rox, I was just learning to knit when I started chemo just over 3 years ago. I'll probably never equal your mother-in-law's contribution, but I'm working on it. Thanks for this pattern. Brims add a real boost to your appearance and your adding one is a great touch.

Hi Rox -- I must say that this hat pattern is my all-time favorite! I made my own commuter hat with Bjork and one for my daughter out of Kyoto. I've been getting lovely comments on these hats on Ravelry and am sure to let them know all about Artfibers!

I miss you not being in Pinole anymore.

Dear Rox, thank you thank you for this hat pattern -- it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I love cloche hats and had a wool felt fabric one with a tightly rolled brim. I lost it somewhere and have been grieving for it ever since, and scoping out in my mind how to do the rolled brim -- and then I got your email with the link to the pattern. I'll come to Pinole soon to visit you (and buy some yarn for a hat)! Best, Alice Schulman (I was a faithful customer in the SF store...)
